VPRIV (Velaglucerase Alfa) is an FDA-approved enzyme replacement therapy indicated for the treatment of Gaucher disease type 1 in adult and pediatric patients. Each 1×1 EA powder vial contains Velaglucerase Alfa, formulated for intravenous infusion after reconstitution under professional supervision.
Velaglucerase Alfa works by replacing the deficient enzyme β-glucocerebrosidase, helping to reduce the accumulation of glucocerebroside in cells, improve blood counts, decrease organ enlargement, and alleviate disease-related symptoms.
