KRYSTEXXA
KRYSTEXXA (Pegloticase) is an FDA-approved biologic infusion therapy used for the treatment of chronic gout in adults who have not responded to conventional oral therapies. Each single-dose, preservative-free 1×1 mL vial contains Pegloticase, a pegylated recombinant uricase enzyme that helps lower uric acid levels by converting uric acid into allantoin — a more soluble compound easily excreted by the body.
This therapy is administered intravenously (IV) under medical supervision, typically every two weeks, and is known for delivering significant symptom relief, reducing tophi, and improving joint function in refractory gout cases.
